Released first gastroguide to the Sakhalin region

In 2024, within the Eastern Economic Forum, the Sakhalin Region presented the first gastroguide to the island. The colourful edition is dedicated to local gastronomy and key events that influence the development of gastronomic tourism in the region.

The traditional gastronomy festival “NaVazhny fest” and the international project “Gastrokamp Sakhalin – 2024”, which laid the foundation for the concept of “Island cuisine”, are in the spotlight. The main idea of the concept is a harmonious combination of traditions of Sakhalin, Korean and Japanese cuisines.

The book “Island cuisine. The guide to the Sakhalin region” enables a reader to explore the gastronomic richness of the only island region in Russia, presents the author's recipes from chefs of local restaurants and inspires the creation of one’s own unique gastroroute!
