Students of the Faculty of International Relations of the Institute of Business Studies of the RANEPA had the opportunity to listen to a lecture by the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in the Russian Federation, Mr. Thomas Ceara.
The meeting was held within the framework of the Gastrodiplomacy educational module, supervised by L. Gelibterman, president of the International Center for Wine and Gastronomy (ICWAG).
During his visit to the RANEPA, Mr. Thomas Ceara met with the heads of the Faculty of International Relations and discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the institute and the universities of the Dominican Republic, including the exchange of students and postgraduate students.
The lecture "Gastrodiplomacy of the Dominican Republic" was devoted to the culture of the country, its gastronomic traditions and gastronomy tourism. The First Secretary answered numerous questions from students that touched upon the history, traditions, life of people in the Dominican Republic, the impressions of Dominican diplomats and their families about life in Russia. The meeting ended on a friendly, positive wave.
