Lecture by the Ambassador of Peru for Students of the Presidential Academy
As part of the course on Gastronomic Diplomacy, organized with the participation of the Center for Gastronomic Diplomacy at the Faculty of International Relations and Business of the Institute of Management of the Presidential Academy, a lecture was held by His Excellency Juan Genaro del Campo Rodríguez, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Russian Federation.
During the lecture, the Ambassador shared the history of his country and discussed the specific features of Peruvian gastronomic diplomacy and the promotion of the national cuisine on the international stage. After the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding Peruvian culture, traditions, and the country’s gastronomic image.
Prior to the lecture, a protocol meeting took place between the Vice-Rector of the Presidential Academy, A.M. Margolin, and the Ambassador of Peru to the Russian Federation.
The meeting was also attended by:
— Natalya Valeryevna Shafinskaya, Head of the Department of International Development;
— Leonid Vladimirovich Gelibterman, Head of the “Gastronomic Diplomacy” module and Director of the Center for Gastronomic Diplomacy at the Faculty of International Relations and Business of the Institute of Management.
The meeting and lecture were held in a warm and constructive atmosphere and served as a vivid example of academic and cultural dialogue between Russia and Peru.
