В своём выступлении Леонид Гелибтерман отметил, что туризм — единственная отрасль мировой экономики, которая показывает устойчивый ежегодный рост.
"Особое явление – гастрономический туризм. Каждый третий турист считает зарубежные национальные кухни отдельной мотивацией к путешествию. И сегодня более 25 стран мира официально используют гастродипломатию", — подчеркнул президент МЭЦ.
Леонид Гелибтерман отметил, что в России отрасль гастротуризма пока не развита, но имеет большой потенциал в силу богатства национальных кухонь, географического разнообразия регионов и весомой исторической основы. Президент МЭЦ представил участникам дискуссии из 25 стран проект "Российские гастрономические недели" по продвижению многонациональной российской кухни в мире, реализуемый в зарубежных странах уже четыре года. Президент МЭЦ также привлёк внимание участников дискуссии к работе Московского Дипломатического гастрономического клуба (МДГК), созданного с целью знакомства зарубежных дипломатов с кухней регионов России.
"Диалог во имя будущего-2018", посвящённый масштабному международному образовательному проекту "Синтез общественной дипломатии и современных технологий как новый тренд международных отношений", прошёл 2-8 декабря в Москве при поддержке Фонда поддержки публичной дипломатии имени А.М. Горчакова и Национального исследовательского института мировой экономики и международных отношений им. Е.М. Примакова РАН (ИМЭМО РАН). Участниками события стали представители Азербайджана, Армении, Белоруссии, Болгарии, Германии, Грузии, Ирана, Казахстана, Кыргызстана, Молдовы, Сербии, США, Черногории, Украины, Франции и ряда других стран.

December 7, Leonid Gelibterman at the invitation of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund took part in the 8th research and educational program "Dialogue in the Name of the Future". The President of the ICWAG presented his report during the discussion "Tourist attraction as an element of "soft power" of the state".
In his speech, Leonid Gelibterman noted that tourism is the only sector of the world economy that shows sustainable annual growth.
"Gastronomic tourism is a special phenomenon. Every third tourist considers foreign national cuisine as a separate motivation to travel. And today more than 25 countries of the world officially use gastrodiplomacy," — the President of the ICWAG said.
Leonid Gelibterman noted that in Russia the industry of gastronomy tourism is not yet developed, but has a great potential due to the wealth of national cuisines, geographical diversity of regions and a significant historical basis. The President of the ICWAG presented to the participants of the discussion from 25 countries the project "Russian Gastronomy Weeks" to promote multinational Russian cuisine in the world, implemented in foreign countries for four years. The President of the ICWAG also drew the attention of the participants to the activity of the Moscow Diplomatic Gastronomy Club (MDGC), created with the aim of introducing foreign diplomats to the cuisine of Russian regions.
The "Dialogue in the Name of the Future-2018", dedicated to the large-scale international educational project "Synthesis of Public Diplomacy and Modern Technologies as a New Trend in International Relations", was held on December 2-8 in Moscow with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund and the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations RAS (IMEMO RAS). The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Serbia, the USA, Montenegro, Ukraine and a number of other countries.
