On October 7, 2024, the ICWAG President Mr. Leonid Gelibterman introduced the basics of gastrodiplomacy to the participants of the III International contest ‘Leader of People’s Diplomacy’. During the lecture Mr. Leonid Gelibterman spoke about the concepts of ‘gastronomy’ and ‘gastrodiplomacy’, food culture and the importance of the enogastronomic aspect in business negotiations.
Among the audience were people's diplomats from 34 countries engaged in a wide range of fields – scientists, teachers, representatives of public organisations, programmers and even dentists, united by the fact that they are authors and participants in international projects aimed at bringing peoples together all over the world.

At the end of the presentation, the participants were eager to engage in a discussion of the topic, actively asking the lecturer questions and sharing their own experiences of intercultural interaction from the point of gastronomy.
