In 2026, the Republic of the Philippines will assume the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Leonid Gelibterman, the ICWAG President, and His Excellency Igor Garlit Bailen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Russian Federation, discussed potential joint projects in the Russian Federation during the Philippines’ chairmanship of ASEAN.
These projects will be submitted for consideration to the Ambassadors Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of ASEAN countries in Moscow, namely: Brunei; Vietnam; Indonesia; Cambodia; Laos; Malaysia; Myanmar; Singapore; Thailand.

Additionally, the ICWAG President presented the Ambassador of the Philippines with the book “Pacific Cuisine. The Beginning”, in the creation of which staff members of the Philippine Embassy participated directly as authors.
