On December 12, Ecuador annually celebrates the Day of Ecuadorian Gastronomy. This holiday was established by the National Assembly of Ecuador in 2018. Its main goal is to transform the country into an attractive tourist destination where visitors can fully experience the nation’s unique gastronomic culture.
To mark the occasion, UTE University (Quito, Ecuador) organizes a series of themed events. At the opening of the business programme, prepared by the Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences and Tourism at UTE, the ICWAG President Leonid Gelibterman delivered a video address.
UTE University is among the ICWAG’s partners. As part of their collaboration, it has expressed its willingness to join the working group developing the concept of Pacific Cuisine.
