On April 3, the Komsomolskaya Pravda media group hosted a round table on tourism and cooperation between Russia and Asian countries. The expert panel included Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and high-ranking diplomats from foreign countries, representatives of the federal agency Rossotrudnichestvo, the tourism industry and experts in the field of gastronomy. Mr. Leonid Gelibterman, the ICWAG President, took part in the discussion, noting that many countries in the region are actively promoting their gastronomic brands, so Asian capitals more and more often lead the world rankings.
"Gastronomic tourism is the fastest growing type of tourism in the world, with an annual growth rate of 15-16%.
