Kaliningrad hosted the largest street food festival in Russia



From August 25 to August 27, Kaliningrad hosted the ninth Kaliningrad Street Food City Picnic near the House of Soviets. Street food projects from different cities of Russia and from foreign countries took part in the picnic. According to tradition, the best street dish of Russia was chosen at the picnic. The chairman of the jury L. Gelibterman presented the Russian Street Food Awards. The jury also included the organizer of the festival, the head of the Street Food Russia association Alexander Isaev and the head of the Department of Food Technology of the Kaliningrad State Technical University Inna Titova.

The Kaliningrad project "Friends. Soulful cuisine" (founder Alexander Muravitsky), who presented a fish dog with herring, received the award for the best street dish of the country. The award for the best dessert was received by Ekaterina Chernova (“Chernova Cake” project) from Ekaterinburg, who conquered the jury with a chocolate cupcake from irga.

Four finalist of the competition:

- "Matsu Izakaya " (Kaliningrad) with Baltic kabayaki eel, rice and pineapple kimchi

- "Krasnodarsky paren" (Krasnodar) with Beef cherry burger

- "König Wurst" (Kaliningrad) with lula kebab with raspberry adjika

- "Pryanosti I Papa" (Kaliningrad) and Svetlana Egorova "Znatny plov" (Barnaul) presented a combo of two types of pilaf: Samarkand and Afghan.
