Round table “Sustainable tourism: Africa”
On February 27, a round table dedicated to tourism development trends and new opportunities for cooperation between Russia and African countries was held at Media Group “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. The meeting was attended by such authoritative speakers as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and high-ranking diplomats from foreign countries, experts in the field of cooperation with African countries, cultural figures and specialists in the gastronomic sphere.
“We should educate people about the gastronomic traditions of African countries, which are rich in tropical fruits, exotic dishes and natural products, subsequently it will attract the attention of the Russian tourist to visit the continent. In its turn the popularization of knowledge about Russia's gastronomic heritage among the African partners is an important part of the development of domestic inbound tourism,” noted the ICWAG President Mr. Leonid Gelibterman within the discussion.
