From February 15 to 17, 2023, the final of the Russian Travel Awards was held in St. Petersburg. The partner of the event was Saint-Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development. Participants from 42 regions of the country gathered at the Angleterre Hotel and presented their projects in 19 nominations. Leonid Gelibterman, President of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy and Chairman of the Committee on Gastronomy Tourism of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, took part in the work of the jury and the evaluation of the finalists' performances in such nominations as: auto tourism, sanatorium tourism, MICE tourism, industrial tourism, adventure tourism and gastronomic tourism.
According to the results of the jury's work in the nomination "Territory of gastronomic tourism", the best regions were recognized as:
1st place Murmansk region
2nd place Rostov region
3rd place Kaliningrad region
4th place Perm Krai
5th place Kamchatka Krai
The diploma of the laureate in the special nomination of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Travel Awards 2023 "The best project on gastronomic tourism" was awarded to the international project "Gastrocamp", authored by the president of the ICWAG Leonid Gelibterman.
According to the results of the jury's work in the nomination "Territory of gastronomic tourism", the best regions were recognized as:
