In the period from April 1 to April 7, the Volgograd region hosted the «Gastrocamp Volgograd 2024». During the project, a team led by the ICWAG President Leonid Gelibterman, which included famous chefs, pastry chef and mixologist from different regions of Russia, as well as the best Volgograd chefs, developed original recipes for dishes and drinks based on local products. As a result, the «Volgograd Menu» was born and included 46 unique dishes and drinks.
The Volgograd region was represented in the «Gastrocamp Volgograd 2024» project by chefs of Volgograd restaurants, cafes and pastry shops, namely: Irina Deduk, Andrey Dorfman, Anna Zavarzina, Daria Isaeva, Irina Tarasenko, Alexander Khokhlov and Mikhail Shchetinin. The project team also included pastry chef Marina Devyatko (Moscow), chef Maxim Lazarev (Ufa), chef Vladimir Lotov (Kamchatka Territory), chef Sergey Khrkhryan (Rostov-on-Don) and mixologist Evgeny Shkarin (Ufa).
The initiator of the project «Gastrocamp Volgograd 2024» was the government of the Volgograd region with the support of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation (VOOP) and its regional branch (Irina Murashova).
The dishes of the «Volgograd Menu» will be used to promote the region in Russia and abroad, contributing to the development of tourism, local brands’ promotion and improving the service level.
