Meeting of the Russian Union of Travel Industry’s Committee for gastronomy tourism

The office of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) hosted the second meeting of the Committee for gastronomy tourism this year. It was attended by the Committee chairman L. Gelibterman, and the head of the RST Legal Department N. Litarenko. Members of the Committee and experts from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Irkutsk, Rostov-on-Don, Yerevan, Israel, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, Novgorod, Syktyvkar, Perm and Khakassia joined the discussion online. L. Gelibterman shared plans for the development of gastrotourism in the Russian Federation with his colleagues, and spoke about the opportunities for committee members to take part in its implementation. Committee member Elena Kozhevnikova proposed for approval a plan to create the committee's Telegram channel to inform Committee members, industry professionals and the public about the Committee's events, plans and projects. The meeting participants also discussed the possibilities of more active promotion of Russian regions through the gastronomic component.
The issues that were discussed:
-      preparation for Gastrocamp Kamchatka 2022 in June 2022;
-      preparation to the Kaliningrad Street Food city picnic in August;
-      preparation to the second gastronomic forum and festival of Rostourism in September in Vladivostok, as well as the cooperation of the Committee with the Foundation of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Nature
-      (VOOP) and the platform "Russia – Land of opportunity".
Committee members congratulated their colleague Pavel Syutkin and his wife Olga on the release of their new book “Russian Cuisine: From Myth to Science”. The next meeting of the gastronomy tourism Committee is scheduled for July 2022.
