Meeting with the Ambassador of Panama: New Horizons for Cooperation

A delegation of the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy (ICWG) held a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to the Russian Federation, Carmen Ines Avila Ortega.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of gastronomic and cultural tourism, as well as opportunities for joint projects aimed at promoting Panamanian national cuisine in Russia.

Particular attention was given to Panama’s participation in the “Pacific Cuisine” project, as well as to the preparation of materials for the publication “The Great Gourmet Traveler’s Guide: Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America.”

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop their partnership and implement joint initiatives aimed at strengthening cultural and gastronomic ties between Panama and Russia.

As a gesture of friendship, representatives of the ICWG presented the Panamanian delegation with a book dedicated to Pacific cuisine.
