From May 11 to May 13, 1st EnoTourism Forum was held in Abrau-Durso (Krasnodar Krai).

In 2022, Abrau-Durso hosted about 500,000 guests and became the most visited free-standing winery in Russia by tourists. It is not surprising that Abrau-Durso was chosen as the venue for the 1st EnoTourism Forum in Russia. The event was organized by the Abrau-Durso Tourism Center with the support of the Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) and the International Center of Wine and Gastronomy (ICWAG).

The Forum received international status and was attended by more than 400 participants from 11 countries, including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to the Russian Federation Eduardo Villegas Megías, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to the Russian Federation Daniel Ruben Castillos Gomez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Russian Federation Frank Hans Dannenberg Castellanos and Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Peru in the Russian Federation Egorov Ramirez Hinojosa.

The Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) was represented by GWTO President CEO José Antonio Vidal, GWTO Vice-President for EurAsia Leonid Gelibterman, GWTO Vice-President for Latin America Pablo Singerman, GWTO Directors for Russia (Leonid Popovich), China (Jiawei Jiang), Uzbekistan (Sergei Danilov), GWTO Academy Directors for Portugal (Bebiana Monteiro), Russia (Elena Didenko), Chile (Jorge Espinoza) and GWTO MICE Director (Arnaldo Nardone).

Within the framework of the Forum, Certificates of full members of the Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) were awarded to three enterprises: "Abrau-Durso", "Château de Talu" and "WINEPARK".

Current issues of the industry, promotion of enotouristic regions of Russia and the world, law on advertising, economy of the industry, certification of wine guides, creation of a single map of wine routes, training issues were discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of transport accessibility of certain regions and tools to increase the tourist flow.
